All Gold Everything !!!

This is me on my last vacation in Asia. I went to a total of 3 countries, the most ‘care free’ fun I’ve had in a long long time. I was long overdue for a holiday. It was hot and humid which was a bit overwhelming at times, but again another part of me loved the weather because it meant that dressing up was very effortless, which is what you want when on holiday, u just throw on something easy and nobody can like at u like ...otherwise.

The people were incredibly warm and humble, ever so willing to help and make your stay comfortable in any way they can, beautiful. My trip started off in Myanmar. My first day in Myanmar I went to a place called the Pagoda, with structures made of pure gold, just so incredibly beautiful, out of this world, its 'All Gold Everything'. The Pagoda is where you find a most of the Monks, and thats where they go mostly go to worship. And while inside the Pagoda, one is not allowed to show legs arms or wear shoes, hence you see me with no shoes. So this was me bare feet on the very hot floor/ground...AUCH AUCH AUCH, Ag but it goes away after a few minutes.

The Pagoda is full of the locals and the monks. I must say it was an experience WOW. Ended off my evening with dining experience at a restaurant called 'Karaweik' Palace where we were entertained by local dancers and singers singing and performing cultural dances and songs.

Getting my face painted with Thanaka.

And voila , here me with Thanaka on my face. Thanaka is a yellowish-white paste made from ground bark. It is a distinctive feature of Myanmar (formerly Burma) seen commonly applied to the face and sometimes the arms of women and girls and to a lesser extent men and boys. Thanaka paste is made by grinding the bark, wood, or roots of a thanaka tree with a small amount water on a circular stone slab, the creamy paste is then applied to the face in attractive designs
